Dinner will be accompanied by fine red and white wines and followed by port.

Dress for the evening will be Mess Undress or Black Tie with neck decorations and miniatures. 

The cost of the dinner, including a donation in aid of the Mission to Seafarers, will be £65 per person attending.

A celebration

To celebrate the remarkable achievements of the Royal Naval Reserve since 1859, a dinner will be held in the wardroom at HMS President. The guest of honour will be Mr Michael Grey, former Editor of Lloyd’s List. Other distinguished guests will be Rear Admiral Phil Jones, Assistant Chief of the Naval Staff, Honorary Commodore The Lord Stirling, Mr Jan Kopernicki, Vice President Shipping Shell UK.

The dinner

The evening will begin with a sparkling wine reception and Sunset Ceremony followed by dinner comprising:

Baked darns of salmon, served on a bed of crispy vegetables with a grain mustard dressing

Roast sirloin of beef with crushed peppercorn crust
served with a cream of peppercorn sauce, seasonal potatoes & vegetables

Individual Dutch apple crumble served with a vanilla sauce

Coffee & mints
